Royal Dictator was the "Pride of Fayebrook Farms - he passed away in 2013. We have owned many stallions over the years but few like this one. Royal Dictator (affectionately called DJ) had an amazing disposition that he put into his offspring, our current stallions. In the Walking Horse world Royal Dictator is the offspring of sires that have gained acclaim for breeding production, show ring results and ambassadorship, earning their place in the Tennessee Walking Horse Hall of Fame in its inaugural year. These sires include Allen F-1, Merry Go Boy, Merry Boy, Roan Allen f-38, Midnight Sun, Midnight Mack K, and Wilson's Allen, the best of the best. Royal Dictator was extremely easy to handle around the mares. We used him for hand breeding and pasture breeding. Royal Dictator had great bone and wonderful conformation. He had a very natural Running Walk which he passed on to his offspring. Royal Dictator's foals have had outstanding outcomes at the Canadian Futurity and Western Canadian Futurity competitions. In the 1996 Canadian Futurity one of Royal Dictator's colts had the 2nd highest points for gait out of 110 horses. In larger classes his foals placed in the top five at the Canadian Futurity: 1997 Weanling Filly 1997 Yearling Filly 1997 Yearling Colt 1996 Yearling Filly 1995 Yearling Filly 1995 Two-year-old Colt 1994 Yearling Colt |

1st
place winner in the 1997 weanling
1997 is the last year that Royal Dictator's
offspring were shown. Since then most of his offspring
have been sold to owners in the USA. Royal Dictator, himself, won first place in a 1988 show (see top right). He was an exceptional stallion and with his foundation breeding and that of our selected mares, his babies adopted this natural run walk.
Royal Dictator was the grandson of Mack K's Handshaker
and Merry Go Boy who are both World Grand Champions. Just one
generation off his
papers is Allan F-1 who was recognized as the “greatest contribution
to the breed”. Also on his papers is Midnight Sun also a World Grand
Champion. Roan Allen, Merry Legs, Wilson's Allen and many other
great horses are in his ancestry. In fact, Royal Dictator breeding goes back to the very first
Tennessee Walking Horses; this is very close up in his breeding.
This to me is very important as the original horses were very
naturally gaited without aides.

You will be hard pressed to find this great foundation breeding anywhere.
"Royal Dictator sired Royal Baywatch. Like his sire Royal Baywatch is an excellent horse. Trained by Fox Hollow Equestrian, he won and placed at several training level events in 2007, showed successfully at Spruce Meadows in 2008, and in 2009 he competed at 1.0m at several outdoor show jumping tournaments and was consistently in the ribbons. Competing successfully up at 1.10m at Spruce Meadows he was trained to third level dressage, Under his new owner, a junior rider, he is continuing to take her to the top." |
